So, what could be better on a hot summers day than chilling out, having a delicious ice cream whilst gazing out at the sea, the sky, and possibly (if you are lucky!) some dolphins or seals playing in the water? Luckily for our guests at Whitegate Cottage, this joy is only a couple of miles away at the beautiful National Trust managed beach Chapel Porth, where the Beach Cafe serves up the now famous “Hedgehog Ice Creams”. Vanilla ice cream, smothered in clotted cream, all rolled in toasted hazelnuts, what is there not to love?!
