After moving into the cottage in 1999, on the birth of our second child, I moved around the corner and decided to turn Whitegate Cottage into a self-catering holiday let in 2010. The cottage provides a welcoming and well equipped “home-from-home” for visitors to Cornwall. Built in the late 1800s as a miner’s cottage, Whitegate has been extended and updated to reflect modern needs. In Goonbell, St Agnes and with easy access to the A30, it is an ideal family base to enjoy a buckets and spade beach holiday, or equally to explore all that Cornwall has to offer.

A traditional Cornish Cottage with a modern twist, there are two bedrooms (one with a comfy kingsize and the other with twin beds) and can accommodate up to 4 adults plus an infant (high chair, travel cot and stairgates available on request). There is a well-equipped kitchen/diner with fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, a dining table to seat 4 and a breakfast bar for two with stools next to a window overlooking the private back garden. There is also a light lounge with a woodburner, and a family bathroom with shower over the bath. Unlimited wireless broadband is included.

To the front of the cottage is a small and sunny yard with seating for four, and to the rear is a pretty garden, planted up with colourful plants, seasonal flowers and shrubs. There is unallocated parking on the road outside the cottage. Whitegate Cottage is dog-friendly and non-smoking.
