To make a booking please contact us via email info@whitegatecottage.com or telephone 01872 553109 to reserve the period you require. To secure the reservation, payment as set out below must be received within 7 days of reservation, otherwise the period will be opened up to other clients.  Payment can be made either by cheque, or bank transfer.

Bookings can only be fully confirmed on receipt of the booking form (see link below) with either :

• 30% of the hire fee plus the £100 Goodwill Bond (returnable) if the booking is more than six weeks prior to the start date of the hire period,
• or 100% of the hire fee plus the £100 Goodwill Bond (returnable) if the hire is less than six weeks from the time of booking.

In the event that the full payment is not received by the due date (six weeks before the hire period commences), the owner is entitled to cancel the booking.

Goodwill Bond  A Goodwill Bond of £100 is payable for each hire period. We operate a 7 day return policy from the end of the hire period. Charges for damages or excessive cleaning may be made from the the Goodwill Bond, otherwise it will be returned in full.

By hiring Whitegate Cottage you agree to the following:

1) To take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the tenancy

2)  To pay for any losses or damages to the property however caused (reasonable wear and tear  excepted).

3) To permit the owners or their representatives reasonable access to the property should it be required

4) Not to part with possession of the property or share it except with members of the party as shown on the booking form and not to exceed the number of people stipulated on the booking form. (Cot should only be occupied by a child of 24 months or less)

5) Not to cause annoyance or disruption to the neighbours of the property.

Cancellation If you have to cancel your booking for any reason please contact us to discuss at your earliest convenience.

Arrival and Departure Times Arrival is generally from 3pm, departure by 10am. There may be some flexibility to this depending on prior and subsequent bookings, please feel free to request alternative times if necessary and we will do our best to accommodate. If the property is not vacated at the agreed time a £20 fee per hour may be incurred at the owners discretion.

Pets Pets are allowed by prior arrangement, at a charge of £25. Please contact to discuss direct.

Linen Bed linen and bath/household towels are included. Beach towels however are not. If the hire period extends beyond one week then a fresh set of bed linens and towels will be provided for each week of hire.

Utilities Electricity is included in the hire charge, as is one bag of wood for the woodburner between September and April. Additional wood can be bought from the local shops.

Smoking Whitegate Cottage is a no smoking property, we ask you to respect this.

Parking There is free parking (undesignated) on the road outside the property. We would ask you to be sensitive to the neighbours and their access requirements when parking.

By completing and signing the booking form you agree on behalf of all the hirers to abide by these conditions.
