St Agnes is a popular destination for visitors to Cornwall, attracting visitors who come back year after year. The village itself is conveniently close to the A30 (just under 3 miles) and is the perfect place for a relaxing break, whilst possessing all the conveniences you could need to ensure all your requirements are met. With regular connections to London and further afield from nearby Newquay airport and Truro Railway Station ,St Agnes is more accessible than ever before.
The village has a good selection of local shops, including a bakery, fruit and veg, fresh fish and butchers shops, post office, churches, and a number of pubs, bars and eateries. There is also a Fish and Chip shop and a surf shop, where you can hire boards and wetsuits if required. There is also a riding stable just down the road which can cater for hacks for all ages and abilities, usually at fairly short notice.
Founded on tin mining, the village is littered with picturesque ruins of chimneys and engine houses, set off perfectly amongst the rugged and unspoiled coastal landscapes. The views are certainly inspiring, and this is reflected in the lively local arts scene, which helps to support the villages' arts and craft workshops and art galleries.
St Agnes itself has several beaches, including Trevaunance Cove near the historic Driftwood Spars Hotel and Pub, and Chapel Porth, a beautiful rocky beach managed by the National Trust, which has a cafe during peak season. Lifeguard cover by the RNLI is provided on both beaches during the bathing season. The Blue Flag beach Porthtowan is only a few miles away, an ideal beach for families, with lots of sandy beach gently sloping to the sea and a good range of facilities nearby, including Blue Bar, a great place to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.

For families there is plenty to enjoy, from the excellent Paradise Park, to Newquay Zoo, the miniature steam railway at Lappa Valley and the Aquarium in Newquay.
